Choose Your Love…Love Your Choice

Standard

Twelve.

Today husband and I are celebrating our 12th (GASP!!) wedding anniversary.

Oh, how the time has passed us by like a flash…although, husband would BEG to differ.  Mostly because he thinks he is SO funny.  In fact, today I asked him, “Honey, why haven’t you posted anything about our anniversary on Facebook?”  To which his response was…”Probably because I don’t care.”   Of course I busted out LAUGHING with the LOUDEST belly laugh I could muster up.

Then, just when I think he couldn’t get ANY MORE hilarious, he posts his RIDICULOUS comments about our conversation on Facebook.

Careful what you wish for, ladies.

Still makes me laugh.  I think I mostly laugh because this is obviously the FARTHEST from where husband’s heart truly lies.  Which, anybody who knows husband, understands this.

It might be what I love most about my special treasure of a husband.  His witty, off the wall, hilarious self.

You see, it gets better.

One of husband’s friends commented on his status asking, “How do you guys stay married?”

Husband’s response….

“Don’t wanna split up my 401k.”

While it may not be the mushiest of posts for an anniversary…it’s who we are.

A couple of jokers with the deepest of love for one another.  Life is far too short to be taken so seriously.

My take on how we stay married?  It’s quite simple, really.

Twelve years of love and laughter with a lifetime of the same ahead of us.

To that I say this…

CHEERS!
