The story of my life in 250 words (or less)
I was born in Cambridge, Minnesota on March 2, 1980. Second born of 6 children, I was one of the more challenging kids my parents had…that is, until number 4 and number 6 came along. I grew up in a pretty strict household, but am forever grateful for the morals and standards that my parents instilled in me. I didn’t have my first boyfriend until age 15, which left me in a whole HEAP of trouble. You see, in the house I grew up in, boyfriends weren’t allowed until 16. I graduated high school, decided to skip college, met my husband and bought a house all at the ripe old age of 20. Growing up, I always thought I’d be the first one of my siblings to have children…and have a lot of them. I quickly changed my mind about kids when my husband and I started traveling. I never thought I’d be a world traveler, but I’m blessed to say in the 13 years I’ve been married I’ve traveled to; The Netherlands, England, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Japan, Singapore and Thailand. In October 2009 my husband and I made one of the biggest changes of our lives when we left behind everything we had ever known and moved from Minnesota to Georgia…and we haven’t looked back since. At the age of 33 I can say my life is everything I hoped it would be and more.
